A&J was formed in July 2009 after her first launch of the study manual for Exam FM/2. She serves as a provider of study aids for candidates to prepare for the exams by the Society of Actuaries and Casualty Actuarial Society. Currently, study materials for Exam P/1, FM/2 and MFE/3F are provided. The main author of the study materials is Alvin Soh, ASA, CERA.

Our Belief

We believe that to cope with the needs of the fast-moving business environment, undergraduate or graduate students should prepare themselves as much as possible before having the opportunity to work with the practitioners. One of the ways is to master the exam syllabus offered by the Society of Actuaries and Casualty Actuarial Society during their campus years. Our philosophy with regards to the actuarial exams is straightforward: Actuarial exams are all about passion, preparation, and proper guidance; everyone can pass the exam. 

At the same time, there are some practitioners or actuarial analysts who wish to sit for the exams due to their job requirement or career development. Understanding that it is challenging to have adequate preparation due to limited time, we offer online discussions with the candidates so that they can grasp the material faster in their hectic lifestyle.

Provide assistance and guidance to actuarial students who need helps for the exams. We aim to ease the exam preparation process of every aspiring actuarial students as they deserve.
